Want to do something great for charity and meet some celebrities at the same time?
Our charity partner Switch Up / Nottingham School of Boxing has arranged a Celebrity Fun Run on Sunday 29th August at Holme Pierrepoint White Water Course to raise vital funds for mental health!
Switch Up exists to empower Nottingham’s young people, children, and young adults to break the cycle of offending and reoffending.
Switch Up uses tried and tested mentoring techniques along with physical training to engage Nottingham’s young people in positive activity and to steer them away from the circle of crime and gang criminality.
They deliver mentoring, counselling, accredited non-formal education, personal development workshops, and through-the-gate resettlement mentoring for young people serving custodial sentences.
Through their programmes, they help young people to reflect on their lives and to express positive targets for the future.
What is the charity fun run?
Sign up to run a 5km fun run around the rowing lake and enjoy a family fun day with plenty of attractions, food stalls, etc.
Meet the stars! Special guests joining us will be John and Tommy Fury, Leigh Wood, and many more from stage and screen
Raise vital funds for Switch Up’s work with young people struggling with their mental health.

How do I get involved?
Your entry fee will help Switch Up continue to support young people in Nottingham who are dealing with complex issues, including negative mental health. Following the pandemic, the NHS is exhausted and at capacity, making organisations like Switch Up all the more important, especially for those who might fall between the cracks of government funding initiatives. We need your support to continue our work.
For your £20 entry fee, you will:
- Run with the family of heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury
- Attend a community event, in a stunning location, complete with music, medals, boxing demonstrations, and more
- Compete with friends, colleagues or simply set yourself a healthy challenge
- Support the work of Switch Up and the Nottingham School of Boxing, which are on the frontline of saving the lives of young people in Nottingham as well as preventing criminality and getting them into work
