WHAT’S INCLUDED IN A FREE TYRE HEALTH CHECK?
We follow TyreSafe’s ACT check on every tyre. Air pressure, checked and set to your vehicle’s recommended pressures. Condition, looking for cuts, cracks, bulges and anything stuck in the tread. Tread, measured against the 1.6mm legal minimum.
It takes around 20 minutes, and you’re welcome to wait in reception with a warm drink. You get the results in writing. If anything needs doing, we’ll show you what we found and give you a clear price first, with no obligation.

What happens in a free tyre health check?
A technician checks each tyre’s air pressure, condition and tread depth, sets your pressures to your vehicle’s recommendation, and gives you the results in writing.
Is the tyre health check really free?
Yes. It’s completely free, with no obligation. If anything needs doing, we’ll give you a clear price before any work is done.
How long does a tyre health check take?
Around 20 minutes. You’re welcome to wait in reception with a warm drink.
What is the legal tread depth in the UK?
1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre, all the way around. Grip in the wet drops well before that, which is why we’ll flag tyres getting close to 3mm.
How often should I check my tyres?
TyreSafe recommends checking your tyre pressures at least once a month and before long journeys, and looking over your tyres for damage at the same time.
