Here's why you shouldn't drive on a flat tyre (as this man in Hucknall tried to do)

Tyres are an essential part of any vehicle. But despite the risks associated with driving with flat tyres, some still decide to continue driving with them.
One man, in Hucknall, has learned the hard way after receiving a £120 fine and being banned from driving for 14 months following an incident in which he drove a car through Church Lane in Hucknall with a "completely flat tyre" and an offside front tyre down to the rim.
At Lindleys Autocentres, we campaign for responsible driving and regularly raise awareness of the risks of using worn, part-worn tyres, or flat tyres. Not only can using worn tyres be damaging to your vehicle, but it increases the chances of having an accident and causing injury. In addition, all tyres should have a minimum of 1.6mm in tread depth.
Our services are designed to ensure that everyone has access to the information and services they need to ensure their vehicle is safe to drive. For example, our mobile tyre fitting service is available across a wide area covering Nottingham, Mansfield, Derby, and further afield, to fit new, safe tyres at the roadside, home or work. We also offer a free tyre check-up for businesses.
Our new car garage in Hucknall offers tyre fitting services. If you're in the Hucknall area, book tyre fitting online. Alternatively, view our other car garages located across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Avoid a fine and a driving ban. Drive safe.
